Saved 40 Percent Grocery Shopping

I am so excited with my grocery store purchase today.  I saved 40% on my grocery bill (which ended up being just over $100.  This total includes the $25 for my Easter ham).  I read several blogs/website where families save way more than me . . . but remember I'm average. 

Three things I did that helped:  1) I buy an extra Sunday paper for the coupons  and  2) I spent about an hour using the newspaper and computer to plan the trip  and  3) I took my list with me.  I saved about $80--so I certainly think it was worth my time.
